Brocade 3: Human Connects Heaven and Earth
As with all gongs, exhale as you sink and inhale as you rise.
One part moves, all parts move.
Sink and exhale, shutting the chest and bringing the palms together.
As you rise, turn your fingers to point upward
As you sink, turn your palms so the fingers of your left hand point away from you and the fingers of your right hand point towards you
Rise and reach up with the palm of your left hand, turning the fingers inwards, at the same time reaching downwards and inwards with the palm of the right hand.
Sinking, return to centreline, returning the palms towards each other as though compressing a large spring.
Repeat on the opposite side.
do 3 rounds on each side.
Holding up a single hand above your head and one downwards regulates the energy of the spleen and stomach.
The movements of this exercise increase the flow of energy along both sides of your body, and benefit your liver, gall bladder, spleen, and stomach. They help to prevent diseases of the gastro-intestinal tract.
